[Installation and Usage Instructions]
1. When selecting the range of the rope displacement sensor, there should be margin left. It is strictly prohibited to use it beyond the range. Generally, a larger range can be selected based on the actual stroke.
2. Utilize sensor mounting brackets or fixed screw holes to directly install or add additional protective devices according to the needs of on-site and machine installation space facilities.
3. When installing and using the pull rope sensor, it is necessary to pay attention to keeping the pull rope parallel to the rope outlet (with a maximum allowable deviation of ± 3 °) to ensure the measurement accuracy and service life of the sensor.
4. The MPS series rope displacement sensor rope is made of stainless steel and coated with anti-corrosion plastic layer. Please pay attention to protection to prevent external wear, scratches, dust or debris from invading the sensor, which may cause the sensor to operate smoothly.
5. Before the cable displacement sensor is installed and fixed, please do not pull out the cable and snap it back instantly. This will cause the cable to break, or even damage the Potentiometer (or encoder) in serious cases.
6. The instantaneous speed of reciprocating motion of XS type, S type, and M type rope displacement sensors should be less than 1m/s; L-type and XL type should be less than 0.5m/s.
7. The movement direction of the rope displacement sensor should be kept horizontal with the direction of the rope outlet. If the movement direction changes, a pulley device should be installed.
8. The protection level of the MPS series rope displacement sensor is relatively low, and our waterproof rope displacement sensor should be preferred for outdoor use.
