The Model 10 is designed for applications requiring high capacity and precise process control. A balanced poppet valve utilising a rolling diaphragm ensures continuous output pressure even when the supply pressure is very unstable. Regulating pressure stability is maintained under varying flow conditions by the use of an air guide tube that adjusts the air supply to the flow rate.
1. 1 / 8" water column pressure control sensitivity allows for precision process control.
2. Pressure-balancing air supply valves prevent pressure changes from affecting the set point.
3. Optional check valve allows downstream pressure to be evacuated when supply air is opened to atmosphere.
4. Separate control chambers isolate the diaphragm from the main flow to eliminate oscillation and noise.
5. Compensating tube compensates for downstream pressure drop under flow conditions.
6. Canadian Registered Number (CRN) approval for all territories and provinces.
7. Brass-free options are available for special fluids.
Model 10 series regulators use the force balance principle to control the movement of the valve assembly used to control the output pressure. When the regulator is adjusted to a specific set point, the downward force of a positively biased spring moves the diaphragm assembly downward. The air supply valve opens and allows air to enter the outlet. When the set point is reached, the downward force exerted by the positive bias spring will be balanced against the downstream pressure exerted on the diaphragm assembly. The resulting force moves the air supply valve upward to reduce the flow to the air outlet. The outlet pressure is maintained as a result of the balance between the forces applied to the top and bottom of the diaphragm assembly.
